Each chapter has multiple- choice questions in the FRCOphth format (a single best answer from a choice of four) and in the ICO format (five true or false answers). We have tried not to allow duplication of the two formats so that each question is original and all readers can benefit from all the questions. Each of the question chapters follows each other, and a separate answer section then continues. This is to allow the reader, if so desired, to treat the questions section as a real examination without having the opportunity to look at the answers. The answer sections are fully referenced to allow the reader to search further if required.
